Teaching Children How to Live Healthier Lives in Connection with Mother Nature

Our day camps offer the perfect spot to learn the fundamentals of surfing, develop respect for the environment, and make new friends.

This is not your average surf camp. At our Santa Barbara water sports and surf camp we provide multiple ocean activities for your children.

Campers create, move, and play while exploring all areas of The Riviera Ridge School’s 11-acre campus.

We will follow a daily rhythm that includes music, art, storytelling, games, free play, tea and snack time, cooking and lots of exploring in nature.

Youth take part in field trips, creative and service projects, team-building games and activities, and Connection Circles and Councils—all in service of building social-emotional intelligence and positive relationships with peers and adult facilitators.

Your child will learn basic sailing techniques, nautical terminology, crew overboard rescue maneuvers, basic knots, and rules of the road.

With dozens of camp experiences to choose from, campers ages 4-17 can explore topics including art, business, engineering, sports, theater, and water safety.

Nature Adventures™ camps are designed to provide children with opportunities to experiment, experience, and observe the natural world around them, while engaging in the scientific process.

Our fabulous SBMS bike crew will walk you through the fundamentals of bike maintenance, take you on epic rides around Santa Barbara, and keep you active throughout the week.

Campers ages five to 10 will discover the wonders found within California habitats while learning what makes our home so unique and worthy of protection.
