AHA! Summer Intensive Program

SHORT DESCRIPTION: Three-hour groups gather for summer learning and fun in 2-3 week, four-day-a-week cycles in AM (middle school and junior high) and PM (high school) groups. Youth take part in field trips, creative and service projects, team-building games and activities, and Connection Circles and Councils—all in service of building social-emotional intelligence and positive relationships with peers and adult facilitators. Carpinteria Unified School District also sponsors and hosts a combined Summer Intensive program.

AGE (OR GRADE): Grades 6-12

SAFETY INFO:

1. Yes we run background checks on all of our staff
2. All of our counselors have different accreditations and experience but everyone is properly trained and qualified for the job.
3. Our teen to staff ratio is 8:1 and usually it's closer to 6:1
4. Some of our staff is CPR/AED certified but it is not something we require
