SoCal Piano Academy Composition for Video Games and Film

A week of music creation and discovery for visual media, campers will learn how to compose video game and film music themes as well as learn basic conducting technique. A study of theory and orchestration will be presented in a fresh and easy to grasp approach. Central to the camp is the composition workshops which allows each participant to improve their work and be inspired by one another’s music. Campers are given optional assignments and instruction to take home and prepare the next day’s workshop. Requirements: Students must have a piano or keyboard at home. All other materials are provided.
